Though poses like those seen above inspired the creation of both the slow-witted, untalented and brutish Ragnar of the WWF Wannabes and the slow-witted, egotistical and equally untalented Axe Man, both members of the satirical black metal band Death Cheese, and earned him a place in the infamous Ruthless Reviews 10 Most Ridiculous Black Metal Poses for two years in a row, the truth is that Olve Eikemo, better known as Abbath Doom Occulta, is a smart, creative and multitalented musician. Probably best known for his work with the band Immortal, he can sing, play guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. Axe Man, on the other hand, is best known for growling incoherently while swinging his axe around and bragging about how many pieces of ass he gets, while Ragnar is best known for destroying instruments, power-slamming members of the audience, boozing, barbaric battle cries, and desperate attempts to become part of the WWF.
Abbath started a Motorhead tribute band called Bombers in 2006. I haven't heard any of the material yet but imagine that it must be, shall we say, well-executed.
Try some Immortal here. Revel in the doomy, technically accomplished goodness (or is that evilness) and the wonderfully melodramatic Black Metal song titles. Be very, very glad that Abbath is actually a fine musician with a sharp mind and remarkable talent.
Still, I'm very glad that he's prone to striking ridiculous poses, because if he only appeared looking as he does in the above photos, Axe Man, Ragnar, and indeed the WWF Wannabes would never have been created, and Death Cheese would be nowhere near as entertaining. Because for reasons unknown, Axe Man is by far the most popular member of that disaster masquerading as a band!
If you want to, you can sample some Death Cheese here. But really...does anyone want to?

Does this mean Axe Man may not be the actual father of my untwin twin? I bet Dewey Banjer is taking the lambkin to Abbath!
I sincerely hope that you're that lucky, Lammy! But really, is anyone in the Netherworld ever so lucky? Sorry, but my money's still on Axe Man as the father.
Ax Man is to DIE for!!!!!
