For Quorthon

This is the 43rd birth anniversary of Ace Forsberg, AKA Quorthon, known to many as one of the godfathers of the black metal genre.
Although its evident that Quorthon enjoyed performing and certainly loved creating music, I sense from watching this video that in some ways he was a bit bemused by the "star" status that was bestowed on him. He doesn't seem at all a self-absorbed or showy person. What I see watching this is a pleasant, understated individual whose talents were greatly underrated. Many flashier, less talented musicians tended to take center stage. It makes me regret all the more that I will never be able to see this incredible performer in action, nor meet the very real man behind the myth.
