Happy Birthday Gene!

Gene Simmons has been accused of many things, but being boring isn't one of them! Aside from being one of the most innovative musicians in the hard rock genre, Gene is fascinating on many other levels. He is the child of a Holocaust survivor (his mother.) His father abandoned the family when Gene was very young. Gene immersed himself in the world of horror movies, books and comics. In the early 1970's he and Paul Stanley formed the band Wicked Lester, later to become Kiss with the addition of Peter Criss and Ace Frehley.
Gene claims to have never touched alcohol or drugs but apparently has touched a number of women. According to him this figure is in the millions, but I'm not quite sure that's possible even for him.
If Gene had not been a rock star, he probably would have been a porn star.
